Oil Extractoris a powerful solvent-based oil spot cleaner with an advanced biodegradable formula that dissolves, encapsulates and removes petroleum and food-based oil and grease stains. Its environmentally friendly and phosphate-free formula safely replaces many harsh acid-based cleaners. Due to Oil Extractor’s alkaline nature, it will help neutralize acid-based detergents and cleaners. Oil Extractor can be used outside, on old and new, horizontal or vertical surfaces to remove stains before cleaning the surface overall with Surebond’s SureClean or Efflo Off. Oil Extractor’s Clean Rinse Technology allows oil and cleaner residue to be quickly and easily rinsed away with a low or high pressure washer. Oil Extractor is ready-to-use and shouldnotbe diluted. It is safe to use on surfaces sealed with Surebond sealers. This product is ideal for professional use in the pressure wash industry.
Suitable Surfaces
Suitable for concrete and clay pavers, flat and stamped concrete, masonry, natural and manufactured stone, segmental retaining wall blocks, concrete walls and exposed aggregate. Can also be used on tile, terrazzo and stucco. Safe to use on old or new surfaces in outside environments. Use caution on sensitive surfaces such as wet cast pavers and stamped concrete as it may cause damage to color of the surface. Not for use on asphalt. Test first to verify suitability and dwell time before cleaning the entire surface.
Oil Extractor is compatible with all Surebond Sealers with proper dwell time and application. Misuse may cause damage to the sealer. A test area is always recommended to determine product suitability and compatibility with your specific surface before use and also if desired results are achievable.
Surface & Air Temperatures
Excessively high or low temperatures will produce poor results. Best cleaning results are obtained when air and surface temperatures are 40° F or above. Do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will be overnight. If freezing conditions exist, allow adequate time for the surface to thaw. If air temperatures exceed 90° F, flash cool the surface with water before applying the product. Do not allow product to dry on a hot surface.
Preparation
Sweep and remove all loose soil and debris from the surface. Protect adjacent and surrounding surfaces not intended to be cleaned. Before using Oil Extractor, test on a small, inconspicuous area to determine the suitability, dilution, and correct dwell time of this product for your surface. Allow test areas to dry thoroughly before evaluating the final appearance and results.
Dilution
Oil Extractor is ready for use. No dilution is necessary.
Application
Agitate Oil Extractor by stirring or shaking tightly covered container prior to each use. Pour Oil Extractor undiluted (straight) onto the stain. Brush to completely cover the stain. Allow the cleaner to dwell for 20 to 30 minutes. Scrub the stain with a brush to agitate and further break down the stain. Let Oil Extractor dwell on the substrate for an additional 20 to 30 minutes. Lightly re-apply Oil Extractor during dwell time if the surface starts to dry out. Rinse the surface thoroughly with a pressure washer or garden hose with a nozzle. The use of a hot water pressure washer will further break down surface stains. It may be necessary to apply a secondary cleaning and increase dwell times to remove aged, heavier, deep-set oil stains. Allow the surface to dry before reapplying. Excessive high pressures can damage substrates.
